Some thoughts on Japan

So I haven’t been good and logged what happened each day, cause well, I’ve been out doing things but anyways, I wanted to take a sleepy second and say a thing or two.  So here’s a list of some observations about the Nihongo-jing (Japanese people):

1)      The Japanese are very freakin’ orderly – holy sh!t.  These people have discipline and follow the rules.  For the most part, this makes for a very orderly society.  Unfortunately, this probably makes them have great difficulties with change.  Check it, they have all of the ingredients but its almost impossible to get something that’s off the menu.  For the most part, you can’t even get something that’s close but where an undesirable item is swapped for something else.  This, however, is not necessarily a trait in some of

Japan

’s more successful corporations.  Company culture can be different from the national culture.

2)      Almost all food has fish in it.

3)      People are in decent shape.  Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay fewer fat people than in

America

.  And this makes for a higher percentage of good-looking women.

4)      A little bit less care for the teeth.  I’ve seen a number of people with jacked up grills.

5)      Super polite but assertive when necessary.

6)      A culture steeped in tradition but one where the culture is changing.

7)      A generally gentler people.
